MONTREAL - November 19, 2012 /Analekta/ - Analekta, the largest independent classical record company in Canada, announced today a brand new video for the Angry Birds Theme as performed by Angèle Dubeau & La Pietà which features the animation work of Rovio Entertainment.  This string orchestra version of the Angry Birds theme song can be found on Angèle Dubeau's newest album, Game Music , available now.

"I'm honored and proud that Angry Birds music inspires children, performers and musicians like Angèle Dubeau & La Pietà to perform their own artistic arrangement of the theme," said Ari Pulkkinen, composer of the Angry Birds theme music.

Rovio is an industry-changing entertainment media company headquartered in Finland, and the creator of the globally successful Angry Birds franchise. Rovio also has Finland's largest in-house animation studio, which created the animations seen on the background of the music video for Angèle Dubeau & La Pietà's version of the Angry Birds Theme. Angry Birds, a casual puzzle game, became an international phenomenon within a few months of its release, and is now the number one paid app of all time.

The album features, works associated with famous games such as Tetris, Final Fantasy, Halo 3, Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell, Assassin's Creed and Angry Birds, as well as others heard in Chrono Trigger, Heavy Rain and Secret of Mana.  Considered one of the most prominent violin virtuosos in Canada since she was 15, Angèle Dubeau has garnered multiple awards over the years.  She is one of the rare classical violinists in the world to have been awarded gold records. She has already sold over 500,000 albums in her career.  Driven by a constant desire to innovate, Angèle Dubeau founded La Pietà in 1997, an all-female string orchestra featuring some of Canada's best musicians. The album is available for digital download, as well as on CD, and can be found on iTunes here.
