Matrix Games (

www.slitherine.com) and VR Designs (
www.vrdesigns.nl) are happy to announce the
release of the v1.04 update for the incredible turn-based
operational strategy game
Decisive Campaigns: Case Blue
. The update makes some fine-tuning adjustments to the rules,
and adds improvements, additional fixes and eradicates bugs for a
better experience.
The v1.04 update shifts the balance towards the Soviet side,
most noticeably in the Case Blue campaign. The Soviets receive an
extra 700 infantry per round in July and August (10k per month) and
1,400 extra per round in September and October (20k per month).
Additional improvements are an added variant for Fog of War in the
statistics for players who don’t want to be able to see the
Soviet force size and composition. Oil is also more constrained in
this update, with 2k less oil given to Germany at the start, with
less in August and September.
There are a number of fixes as well, such as fixing the U-2 to
act as a bomber and not as a kamikaze interceptor, and fixing the
bug with the avoid Krasnodar, Grozny, and Baku cards not working
properly. The v1.04 update also fixed a few problems with crashes
in certain situations.

About Decisive Campaigns: Case Blue
The development team behind the award-winning game
Decisive Campaigns: From Warsaw to Paris is back with
a new and improved game engine that focuses on the decisive year
and theater of World War II!
Decisive Campaigns: Case Blue simulates the
German drive to Stalingrad and into the Caucasus of the summer of
1942, as well as its May preludes (2nd Kharkov offensive, Operation
Trappenjagd) and also the Soviet winter counter-offensive
(Operation Uranus) that ended with the encirclement of 6th Army in
Stalingrad and the destruction of the axis minor armies.
Well researched and packed with depth, including detailed unit
data down to vehicle level and historically realistic combined arms
gameplay,
Case Blue also features an easy-to-learn interface
and a good AI. In the campaign scenarios, next to the victory
conditions, you will have to deal with high command orders that can
instruct you to hold or take specific cities. Do well and earn
prestige that enables you to request reinforcements and influence
high command decisions, do bad and you’ll have to be careful
not to get sacked.
