Ludwigshafen, Germany - smuttlewerk interactive is happy to announce the first worldwide massive multiplayer tournament for its free to play endless-runner Nosferatu - Run from the Sun. The tournament will be cross-plattform (Android and iOS) and will begin on December 16th and end on December 27th.

Each player chooses a side to play on, either for "Santa Nos" or "Goblinatu". Players then play the game like always, collecting presents along the way. Each present thus collected counts towards the total team score. Players on the winning side will get either "Santa Nos" or "Goblinatu" as special character after the tournament has ended.

Every day during the course of the tournament from 7PM to 9PM, the amount of presents is multiplied.

smuttlewerk did a similiar Halloween tournament in late October in German speaking countries only and the feedback for the event was overwhelming. Players from Germany, Austria and Switzerland battled it out and collected over 2 million pumpkins during the course of the event.

Nosferatu has been downloaded 2.5 million times (cross-plattform) since launch in February 2012 aquiring about 55000 ratings with a score of 4.5 stars.

The game evolved heavily since launch and now features 16 different Nosferatu characters, 4 different themes, the Guild of the Vampires (daily missions) and many gameplay tweaks.
