Puppygames Secret Titan Labs, 9th January 2013 - after some time
hammering away in secret, bashing thumbs and swearing at
inscrutable shader code, Puppygames' awesome retro 8-bit experience
DROID ASSAULT has finally made its way like a deadly laser-spitting
robot flea on to the back of the 800lb gorilla of PC gaming that is
Steam, your favourite store-and-delivery provider-in-one.
Droid Assault is the antidote to level grinding,
over-complicated AAA gaming! Dive in, blow stuff up, and enjoy
yourself in bite-sized doses of extreme mayhem. You can get back to
your addiction to opening little green boxes in a little while.
Droid Assault's roots are back in ancient history, inspired by
venerated 8-bit classics such as Paradroid and Quazatron. As usual
we've made the game a million times more awesome than its
inspirations. You can command an entire squad of droids, armed to
the mechanical teeth with a large variety of eclectic electric
hurt.
In the game you'll find 50 levels, 48 droid classes, 5 bosses,
and high levels of robot violence.
