FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

BALTIMORE – January 29, 2013 -- Social/mobile game developer PlayScreen, LLC is launching ”Crickler Bowl”, a contest in their popular crossword-like iOS game, Crickler 2:Daily Word Puzzles. Players can win prizes by solving Super Bowl related puzzles and using the game’s “baked in” brag system to ‘tweet’ their support for their favorite team.

Players can solve puzzles based on the Baltimore Ravens, San Francisco 49’ers or the Super Bowl itself. Five players will be randomly picked to win $20 Amazon Gift Cards, when they solve any of the three Super Bowl Puzzles and use the Crickler Twitter brag system. The contest runs from Tuesday January 29th, through Sunday February 3rd.

PlayScreen will also be running a tally of the two teams popularity, a count of how many times players have played each team’s puzzle. Crickler and football fans can follow the daily action at PlayScreen’s Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/playscreen .

In Crickler 2, clues and words sit side by side—and the challenge is “just right,” thanks to adaptive difficulty based on real-time player performance. The game not only keeps players entertained with fresh daily puzzles, but it allows them to keep up with current events through puzzles focusing on the news of the day. Crickler 2 puzzles teach effortlessly thanks to the straightforward gameplay and “knowledge-based” format of each puzzle. With over 1 million puzzles played, Crickler is one of the most popular crossword style games on the iPhone.

“Crickler is a great way of learning about any subject, while having fun” says William Volk, Chief Creative Officer, PlayScreen. “The Crickler Bowl Contest not only gives players a chance to win prizes, it also allows football fans to vote for their Super Bowl pick.”

Crickler 2:Daily Word Puzzles can be downloaded for free from the iTunes App Store.
