January 31st, 2013 -- SANTA ANA -- Cadenza
Interactive is proud to announce today the release of its sophomore
title, Retrovirus, for PC via Steam. In development for two and a
half years,
Retrovirus is a modernization of the
“six-axis” (
6DoF) shooter concept as
explored by the mid-90’s classic
Descent.
Players take on the role of the anti-virus “Agent,”
a system process designed to seek out and destroy the viruses that
are rapidly destroying an innocent computer system.
Retrovirus is built around five hour campaign, fully
voiced by Zen Josey and IPL eSports broadcaster Kevin Knocke. The
campaign can be enjoyed solo, or in co-op with a friend.
In addition to campaign co-op, multiplayer fans will enjoy
co-operative challenge scenarios, and competitive gameplay modes
like Deathmatch and FPS MOBA (PvPvE).
Retrovirus features a robust decision-based AI, a host of
friendly and enemy processes, and a richly stylized computer world.
Players can expect a world colored by dynamic lighting, viral
infestations throughout the environment, and of course, challenging
fast-paced combat.
Cadenza Interactive is an independent PC development studio
based in Santa Ana, California.
