[This unedited press release is made available courtesy of Gamasutra and its partnership with notable game PR-related resource GamesPress.]

Telltale is bringing Marty and Doc into 2013 –  Back to the Future: The Game comes to iPhone on  Thursday 7th March! The new universal app runs on iPhone 4 and up as well as iPad, and is in fact the FIRST Telltale app to support the 16:9 display on iPhone 5.

The new universal base app (Episode 1) will be  FREE at launch for a limited time only – grab it while you can! All 5 episodes in the season will be available at once, so there’s no need to wait for the next installment. The base app (Episode 1) features an in-game menu where you can purchase Episodes 2-5 individually, or save by getting the  Episodes 2-5 multi-pack for the special introductory price of just $9.99. This new in-game menu means that instead of existing as separate apps on your device, all your BTTF goodness is contained in one handy package.

Please note the release of the new universal base app means the superseded Back to the Future: The Game Episodes 2-5 will no longer be available for direct download in the App Store. Ownership of these episodes cannot be transferred to the universal app, so if these episodes are not backed up to the iCloud or kept on the device, they can no longer be acquired without purchasing the Episodes 2-5 multi-pack. Ownership of Episode 1 will transfer to ownership of the new universal base app.

For any additional questions, feel free to reach out to Telltale for more information!
