NGames, a leading online publisher, has introduced Gems to the Facebook exclusive Naruto game, Pockie Ninja II Social

With over 900,000 monthly active users, Pockie Ninja II Social is proving a popular social destination for Naruto fans to hang out and compete for glory. Pockie Ninja II Social offers players a Facebook-exclusive Naruto style adventure, where friends can band together – or compete against one another – to raise armies of well-known anime characters and build villages in a bid to conquer the social ninja world.

Players can now use Gems to upgrade the stats of their equipment. Gems have three functions; treasure seeking, embedding into equipment and upgrading other gems.

Gems can be obtained after reaching L30 from the Gem tab. When used for treasure seeking, each level of Gem allows players to find more valuable treasure. Blue is the most basic level (2,000 Ryo), followed by Purple (5,000 Ryo), Red (20,000 Ryo) and the most valuable treasure, Gold (50,000 Ryo).

Players can search for treasure a limited number of times per day, though this limit can be increased by becoming a VIP member. The Gems found from treasure seeking can then be used to upgrade equipment, combine with other gems to form more powerful gems, or they can simply be sold.

Once acquired, gems can be embedded into equipment to provide them with attribute bonuses. As with the treasure seek function, they range in power from basic blue bonuses to the extremely powerful gold Gem bonuses.

Not only do Gems have power based on their color, but they also have 10 levels. Gems can be devoured, providing EXP which can be used to increase the power of other gems. Gem devouring is an extremely efficient process, so if Gem A devours Gem B, and Gem C devours the new Gem A, it will receive EXP from both A and B, ensuring that players never suffer from lost Gem EXP.
