Orlando, Fla. (March 4, 2013) - Sundog Software released version
2.0 of its Triton Ocean SDK, which adds realistic 3D ocean and
water effects to games, simulations, and training systems. This new
release adds new coastal and shoreline effects, rotor wash effects,
and impact effects to Triton's capabilities.
"We've added the features most requested from our customers in
the gaming and simulation industries," said Frank Kane, Founder of
Sundog Software. "Having shorelines with waves that grow upon
approach and water that becomes transparent near the shore lends
extra realism to coastal scenes. And, games and simulations alike
want to disturb the water surface with things like helicopter
rotors, propellers, bullets, and torpedos. Triton 2.0 makes that
all possible, with real 3D waves and spray effects."
Triton is currently used by the US Navy and many major
simulation companies and game developers around the world. "Triton
offers the realism and physics expected by the training industry,
with graphics that are as fast and attractive as anything you'll
see in the latest top video games," continued Kane. "We think it
will make training more immersive, and games more realistic."
Triton 2.0 is available now for evaluation at Sundog Software's
