KARLSRUHE – March 5, 2012 – flaregames GmbH, a leading developer and publisher of mobile games, today released a free update for the Android version of its hit game, Royal Revolt!. With this update, flaregames is celebrating the birthday of Google Play, the marketplace for Android apps and games.

"Google's Android operating system has evolved a lot over the last year and Google Play has emerged as a solid marketplace for games," commented Klaas Kersting, CEO of flaregames, on the relationship with Google. "In just the past year since the release of our first Android game, Google has given us access to millions of players. It‘s a great success story for which we are grateful to Google."

The colorful and humorous Royal Revolt! is about a young prince, who after the death of the king, has his kingdom stolen by nasty relatives. With simple and intuitive touch controls, the player directs the Prince through the lovingly designed missions and helps him to regain the strongholds of the land. The update adds four new levels in which the prince commands no other troops except for friendly green "android" characters - designed around the logo of the Android operating system. The spells have been replaced with a powerful shower of confetti and the fantasy realm gives way to a table with a birthday cake and gifts.

"We see the update as a thank you to Google, and also to our millions of loyal players on Android. We hope they enjoy the update and have a lot of fun with the confetti spell," said Pete Walentin, Managing Director of Keen Flare.
