Kickstarter / Website / Greenlight

Now that we're approaching a week into our Kickstarter campaign for Humans Must Answer, we're offering everyone the chance to play a beta demo to get a feel for where the game is at this point. There's still a number of elements to add and others that we've completed are missing from this demo. That's not to say that this is intended to give you a basic idea of how the game will play when finished, though.

IF YOU ENCOUNTER PROBLEMS, PARTICULARLY IF IT CRASHES UPON START-UP, YOU CAN FIND A SOLUTION RIGHT HERE.

THIS IS A PUBLIC DEMO SO PLEASE SHARE WITH YOUR AUDIENCE AND TELL THEM ABOUT OUR KICKSTARTER!

However: Please note that nothing is final in this demo and, in fact, we're already making a number of changes and additions based on feedback we've received thus far. We'd appreciate any comments and suggestions based on first impression of Humans Must Answer so that we can continue improving the game.

BETA DEMO INFORMATION:

There are four levels in total, and a number of the story elements are missing - it will feel like you just jump in and won't know these characters. The main thing to concentrate on is the gameplay at this point, which is an element we're still tweaking and hope to be even smoother soon. This is the very basic elements of the game - you won't be combining weapons and you won't be able to gain access to many of them either.

We'd also like to point out that in the Shop screen you can see a penguin UFO fly past on occasion, this is actually from Starbound, which is a game our friends at Chucklefish are working on, and it's great! If you use select the Blast special as it flies past you can blow it up and gain some extra currency to spend.

Please also note that the difficulty that you select at the beginning will stick with you and you'll have to start a new game in order to change it. Another note: the game is supposed to be hard, as proper shmups are! Good luck!
