[This unedited press release is made available courtesy of Gamasutra and its partnership with notable game PR-related resource GamesPress.]

UK-based Unreal Engine games developer Pitbull Studio announce the opening of a new office in Guildford, to support their growing operation, as they continue to attract highly skilled developers from across Europe. This new location sees another expansion to the Pitbull Studio team, which has grown considerably at their head office in the North East of England over the past year. The new setup will initially serve as a base for a team of three and provide hot-desking for visiting Pitbull members, while the studio recruits additional Guildford-based employees over the next few months.

Robert Troughton, CEO of Pitbull Studio said, “The company has grown from 18 to 34 in six months and to support this expansion we are adding another studio based in the South.  We chose to base the new studio in Guildford, as this would allow us to attract high-calibre developers from the region to further strengthen our team.”

Pitbull Studio is supported in the move by Epic Games. Mike Gamble, European Territory Manager said, “Pitbull are a skilled Unreal Engine developer who are working on cutting-edge UE4 technology and also developing content for next-generation games. We are proud to see one of our partners attracting such great talent and expanding so quickly.”

Heading up the Pitbull Guildford studio are Tom Sarkanen, Keith Judge and Mark Satterthwaite: Keith and Tom have over 13 years’ industry experience each. Tom worked on the “Just Dance” and “Driver” franchises and Keith notably worked on the “Fable” series.  Mark Satterthwaite has six years’ experience and is especially skilled at Mac development.
