Press Release

MONTEVIDEO, Uruguay - July 25th, 2013 -

Schmeuk Studios, the innovative indie studio behind the Conquist series, one of the most successful Risk ports on the AppStore, attacks again with Conquist Tournament, a daring incarnation that overhauls this classic game with an outstanding online experience and revolutionary gameplay.

CONQUIST TOURNAMENT: An epic struggle for world domination

We have been developing Conquist for a while now, and we have learnt quite a few things from our fans. Our goal with this new release is to thank them with the best world domination game on the AppStore. While flashy graphics and explosions are nice (we put some of those), what we really wanted was to make the game even more fun and challenging, so we spent a whole year to come up with the Conquist power cards. They provide new moves that expand the game strategy while keeping its soul and balance intact. Hide your stratagem by camouflaging your armies, spy on your opponents, make surprise air strikes, contaminate territories with radiation and decimate your opponents armies... sounds like fun, doesn't it?

As every experienced player knows, making (and breaking) alliances is paramount to this game, so we included a simple but yet powerful diplomacy mechanism to communicate with your adversaries. No AI player can substitute for a human, so we focused on making the online multiplayer experience great. Players join matches effortlessly and follow every move in realtime. Strategy game lovers thrive for a real challenge, so we created a smart matchmaking system to find the right opponents. We also created tournaments and leagues that start every two weeks, so every match counts to get a place in the podium and a trophy in the Hall of Fame. Even more, we developed a score system based on the ELO algorithm (the one used in chess championships) to create meaningful leaderboards that accurately reflect players abilities.

Go ahead and try it out, it's free! We would love to hear your impressions.
