San Clemente, CA, December 27, 2013 – RETRO Video Game Magazine has announced Play N Trade “The Ultimate Entertainment Exchange Store” as their retail partner. The premier issue is due to launch mid January with available copies in all Play N Trade locations. Play N Trade stores already carry a wide assortment of retro games and consoles at a reasonable price.  Adding an extensive retrospective magazine to Play N Trade’s inventory will add uniqueness and compelling draw for the consumers.  Charles Beaupre, CEO of Play N Trade comments on this partnership, “We have been a staple in the retro gaming community for years. The partnership with RETRO Video Game Magazine is a great channel for our consumers to receive the latest in retro gaming news.” Our two organizations complement each other and we are very pleased to have RETRO as a retail partner.

Retro Video Game Magazine will have three decades of renowned video game journalists that have been united to collaborate on the expansive subject of video gaming. RETRO will feature coverage of games from every era, including classic gaming systems, current and next generation consoles and upcoming independently funded projects. The magazine will feature retrospectives on classic consoles and games with an emphasis on ill-fated add-ons that made them famous. RETRO reviews classic games across countless genres.

Reviews of current generation products with a focus on franchise reboots, games with classic licensing tie-ins and modern games that build on 8, 16 and 32-bit gaming’s core principles. Mike Kennedy, Founder and President of RETRO comments on this partnership, “We are very excited to work with Play N Trade stores and to make RETRO available to their customers in North America.  Retro gaming is a common theme with both our organizations and working together and promoting one another makes so much sense.”
