Mons, Belgium15th of January 2014 - Fishing Cactus, the Belgian video game studio behind Shift and Creatures Online, is proud to announce that Algo-Bot is hitting Kickstarter while you're reading this.
Algo-Bot is a mind-tingling puzzle game about coding for PC with Android and iOS possibilities. Not coding realistically speaking but more like a logical experience. At Fishing Cactus we love making games and we had the idea to convey the greatness of code in a game. But building a game about coding is not a simple task. From noobies to experts, we need to satisfy everyone around the table. Provide logic puzzles that will show experts they can still learn things and optimize the way they think. On the other hand, we need to make the game simple enough so people who don’t know anything about programming can get into the game.
A year has passed and money has gone but the dream is lingering. We now have a playable Alpha version of the game and we need help and support from passionate people to get us to the finish line. That’s the reason why we have decided to launch on Kickstarter.

Our base contribution goal is $60,000. At this funding level, we will launch Algo-Bot as a live, stable, and fully functional game. Also one of the very specific stretch goals we are setting for this project is the free school license set at $300,000. If we reach it, all schools, training centers and education professionals all over the world will benefit from free licenses of the game. Children are our future and coding is part of it.
