For Immediate Release

London, UK — 21 January, 2014   Improbable is pleased to announce two high profile new additions helping shape the world class game team at the new London games and technology developer.

Industry veteran Si Jaques joins Improbable to head up its Animation team following 8 years at Lionhead Studios where he worked on ground-breaking animation for iconic titles  Fable II  and  Fable III,  and served as Animation Director on the upcoming, series changing  Fable Legends.

Si comments, “'I’m really excited to be joining Improbable, it’s great to be part of a new team pushing creatively. I’m really looking forward to being involved and to help shape it from the ground up.”

He’s joined at Improbable by Calum Alexander Watt, a leading concept, character and storyboard artist widely considered one of the best in the industry. Calum joins Improbable on a full-time basis following a period as a freelancer where he worked on art for high profile games including  Halo 4 for Microsoft Studios , ALIEN: Isolation for  Creative Assembly, and  Batman Arkham Origins: Blackgate for Armature Studios.

Calum’s other artistic highlights include his comic book work for 2000 AD on  Judge Dredd and acclaimed concept art for the unreleased  Metallica: The Game. Calum said, “I’m thrilled to be joining this fantastic team. I’m very much looking forward to working on the vast and creatively inspiring projects here.”

Nick Button-Brown, Studio Head at Improbable said, “We’re delighted to have both Si and Calum joining Improbable. They add their skills to what is shaping up as the perfect team to help us develop the new online gaming experiences that our technology enables.”

Herman Narula, Improbable CEO added, “It’s great to see such talented people excited by what we’re doing at Improbable, and both have a real desire to be part of it. As a studio we’re expanding significantly and we’ll be able to talk more about what we’re up to as well some more amazing hires soon.”
