Creaky Corpse, the indie developer behind the popular MMO Dead Frontier, announced today the game’s ten millionth registered player.

Dead Frontier was first released back in 2008, and has since undergone regular updates and improvements. Having gone from strength to strength, the game currently sees up to 100,000 players per day battling the undead horde.

“I'm hugely grateful to everyone who's played Dead Frontier and helped us to reach this epic milestone,” said Neil Yates, the game’s producer.

“I find it hard to comprehend that something I made mostly while sitting in my bedroom has become so popular. I mean, ten million is such a crazy number. That's a moderately sized country right there!”

Dead Frontier takes place in the zomb-infested Fairview City, and sees players working together to survive while traversing the dangerous streets on foot as they move between outposts.

In addition to Dead Frontier, Yates and his team are currently hard at work on their next game, Doom Warrior, a barbaric gladiator combat MMO.

Doom Warrior was revealed earlier this month and, in March, enters closed beta. Sign-ups are currently active on the game’s website, www.doomwarrior.com.
