New Technical Art Director joins IMPROBABLE team
London, UK — 18 March, 2014 — Improbable is pleased to announce that Kajfa Tam, the award winning Swedish Technical Art Director previously based at Ubisoft’s Studios Massive Entertainment in Malmo Sweden, has joined the world class art and development team at Improbable.
Tam comes to Improbable directly following a high profile role at Ubisoft, where he not only headed up the technical art team at Massive Entertainment working on games including Assassin's Creed: Revelations and upcoming next gen title Tom Clancy’s: The Division, but worked on the new Snowdrop engine and was responsible for making his team an efficient, versatile and sustainable creative force that could tackle any project.
An industry veteran, and expert in his field who has served as a guest lecturer at several institutions including the University of Gotland, Tam previously worked for a number of world class studios including Avalanche and Lionhead Studios and on hit games like Just Cause, Just Cause 2, Fable 3 and Fable The Journey.
The Swedish Technical Art Director will bring his unique creative and organisational skills to his role at Improbable, working on as yet unannounced projects being fashioned with a unique approach and bespoke technology.
Tam comments, “I’ve spent many years within the game industry working with multiple technologies and engines, but the unique offerings here at Improbable are unlike anything I’ve ever seen before. I'm very excited and humbled that I’ve been given this opportunity and together I believe this team can help shape the future of Improbable, and maybe even change the way people make and play games in the future."
This latest hire represents part of Improbable’s continuing drive to source the best talent from all over the globe to fuel groundbreaking work being done at the London based developer.
Those efforts will continue this week at GDC, with the developer meeting a wide range of international talent and committed to ensuring they can make the transition to the UK as easily as possible once they join the studio.
