ADELAIDE, Australia — Mar 25, 2014 — Two Lives Left has released Codea 2.0, a powerful tool for creating games and simulations on iPad. Nearly a year in the making, Codea 2.0 features a completely rewritten code editor, brand new music and sound features, and three specially commissioned sound and music collections for users to freely use in their games.

Codea 2.0 has been redesigned for iOS 7 and rebuilt for 64-bit architectures. It features double precision math, meaning more accurate calculations. As well as a fresh visual design for iOS 7.

The code editor has been completely rewritten. Featuring advanced auto-completion and live errors. Users will find themselves typing less with smart indenting, scope completion, and powerful new find-and-replace functionality. Clever tools such as re-indent and live color swatch previews let users quickly layout their code and visualise its effects prior to playing it. The new editor lays a solid foundation for Codea and paves the way for more advanced features to come.

In Codea 2.0, users can now access the GPS hardware in their iPad with the Location API. A dead-simple toolset for working with location data. Also new is a Pasteboard API for handling copy and paste, new project management options, remotely downloadable game assets, and much more.

Codea 2.0 is available as a free update for all users on March 25, 2014.
