RELEASE DATE April 23 rd 2014
Axis, the Glasgow UK based animation and visual effects studio, has announced that it has received a Queen’s Award for Enterprise – the UK’s highest accolade in business success.
The Queen's Awards were originally created in 1966 to recognise the achievements of UK businesses in the areas of International Trade, Innovation and Sustainable Development. The awards are made annually by Her Majesty The Queen and are awarded to the businesses that display the highest levels of excellence in each category.
Axis received their Queen’s Award for International Trade, and most notably their outstanding growth in overseas earnings over the last three years. Since 2010 Axis has grown its international revenues to account for close to ninety percent of their turnover in a range of markets including the United States and Canada.
The company’s work with clients in marketing and entertainment such as Microsoft, Warner Bros., Sega and Electronic Arts has been instrumental in developing this international profile.
“We are very honoured to have been recognised for the international growth we have achieved.” commented Axis Managing Director, Richard Scott. “Everyone in the business has been part of this continued success and we all look forward to expanding our international reach with more exciting new clients.”
