A shooting game that uses unique, app-integrated darts, shot at touch screen TVs, monitors or tablets? When we initially launched our first press release, a lot of journalists and readers didn’t believe it was possible… so we added some gameplay footage to our Kickstarter page, where we have already raised more than 20.000 dollars in order to mass-produce the product!

SNIPE is an innovative shooting game that uses actual foam darts compatible with Nerf guns and similar toy blasters. The darts are perfectly safe and stick to your touch screen for just a moment before falling off — just long enough to launch another projectile!  We will be offering a multitude of different apps created specifically for use with these darts. Of course, SNIPE Touch Darts can be used with any touch-based app, but most existing software hasn’t been made with physical projectiles in mind, which might make for a bad gameplay experience. However, in the video you can see how the projectiles work and how they make for a far more intense game than other shooting games, so go ahead and visit now!

Of course, we would love for you to write an article about SNIPE! Because we need to finish our Kickstarter campaign first, we’ll gladly send you SNIPE Touch Darts, apps and blasters to review after our Kickstarter wraps, but in the meantime please feel free to ask for any of the following:

· Skype interviews or phoners

· Clips, pictures and exclusive behind the scenes footage

· SNIPE stickers

· a framed and signed tablet shot to pieces on a shooting range while filming our video clip (limited supply only)

· SNIPER kits after the funding is complete

· your winner’s name in the credits of one of our SNIPE apps

We have noticed that our major reward, a SNIPE boot camp, seemed to good to be true for some journalists and backers, who didn’t see the info on the boot camp and the itinerary on our SNIPE website, and we have included a direct link underneath this paragraph. If you feature us in a major publication, please get back to us and we’ll discuss the details and make sure you know what the boot camp is all about! This is a great present to give away to your readership, so make sure to drop us a line while we still have boot camp tickets available!

Here are some answers to questions and comments we received so far!

Why are you implying that mobile games are boring?

We aren’t implying that the games themselves are boring necessarily, just that the gameplay is somewhat limited. Most mobile apps use touch and/or swiping, which usually makes for a less exciting game than shooting or using a joypad, for example. Because SNIPE is played with actual toy guns and physical darts, a whole new dimension will be added to your experience!

Why should I shoot darts at tablets instead of playing with other people?

First of all, using your own tablet, monitor or touch screen TV makes sure you can also play SNIPE alone when there aren’t any friends around — although we’ll have great multiplayer games. Secondly, a lot of people play shooters on their PlayStation, Wii U or X-Box, or go out and shoot at targets on a range, so why would a physical shooting game be less interesting? In fact, we have found that our test audience liked being able to actually see the projectiles and having to reload physically!

The darts stick to the screen, so will it be possible to shoot fast enough?

Yes, it will, just look at our gameplay footage! Our SNIPE Touch Darts only stick to the screen for a moment before falling off and usually you need that time to aim and pull the trigger. Also, our apps will be made specifically for SNIPE, so you won’t need to hit exactly the same location three times in one second. To top things off, our rewards contain a lot of darts and we even have ammunition belts available, so you won’t need to go back and forth constantly in order to reload!

Are the darts safe?

Yes, they absolutely are! In fact, the impact of one of our SNIPE Touch Darts is significantly less than that of a human finger — find out more on Kickstarter and on our webite!

How can you be sure the darts work?

Make no mistake: we have already developed the darts and we’ve tested them thoroughly. Again, please look at our gameplay footage. The Kickstarter campaign is meant to develop more apps for the game and mass-produce the hardware.

Won’t there be licensing issues?

No. SNIPE Touch Darts work with any Nerf-style blaster. We mention Nerf because it’s one of the better-known brands, but there is a high degree of compatibility with other brands as well — believe us, we’ve tested almost all of them! On top of that, we will have our very own SNIPE guns available!

Can I have my own app developed?

Yes! Our apps are open source. Additionally, if you’d like to work together with our SNIPE team, we might agree to create an app specifically for you publication — for free! Everything depends on your reach and the kind of article you’d like to publish, so just ask us!

Why offer a boot camp if people can get similar experiences somewhere else?

Why offer any reward you can buy somewhere else? Because it’s free, of course! Also, we feel that our boot camp is a pretty unique experience that’s tough to get anywhere else and we’ll even fly the winners to boot camp competitions and our 10.000 dollar backers to Israel — as long as they’re allowed to visit the country. Now, how cool is that?
