Taneli Armanto, the creator of the original Nokia Snake game, is back. He recently joined forces with Finnish independent mobile game development studio Rumilus Design to create Snake Rewind -  a new generation version of the classic Snake game. The game will be available in app stores this autumn.

Rumilus Design was established in 2012 and is best known for the mobile puzzle game Collapsticks, which has 2,5 million downloads so far. Rumilus Design also runs the unique photo colouring service Colorago. The founders of Rumilus Design have previously worked at Nokia.

Taneli Armanto is known for his version of the Snake game, which made a big impact when it was released in the late 1997.  Since then, it was featured in over 400 million Nokia phones and is one of the most popular games in history. In 2005 Armanto received a special recognition from the Mobile Entertainment Forum (MEF) for his role in embedding Snake on the Nokia 6100 series.
