For immediate release

San Francisco and Helsinki, May 6th – Shark Punch is pleased to announce that its top-down tactical heist game set in the shady 1970’s, The Masterplan, will leave Early Access for its full release on June 4th, available on Steam, Humble, GOG and

The complete release features an all-new story mode with dynamic in-game narrative, and follows a crew of down-on-their-luck, blue-collar criminals set adrift by Richard Nixon's New Federalism, and chasing the score of a lifetime. The 1.0 release features significant new features and additions compared to the beta version in Early Access.

We are excited to announce the signing of acclaimed narrative designer, Tom Jubert, to develop The Masterplan's story and characters. Tom's previous projects include The Talos Principle, FTL and The Swapper.

Tom Jubert said, "Top-down tactical stealth has always been one of my favourite genres. As a writer it's an opportunity to move away from the po-faced philosophical sci-fi that is my bread and butter and do something that's fun, cool, a bit silly, and which tests how much character I can squeeze out of a pretty tight script".

In Early Access since September 2014, The Masterplan features a top-down view for efficient real-time control of your crew, which themselves range from grocery stores to drug dens to Fort Knox itself. Hand-drawn 2D graphics bring to life emergent hostage situations and firefights, where the devolution of careful stealth and crowd control into chaos is always only a 911 call away.

The Masterplan will also feature a full original soundtrack, inspired by the funky big band sounds of the 70s, which will be included in The Masterplan Digital Special Edition. The Soundtrack will also be sold separately.
