  BGD Export brings 36 companies and over 100 executives from the Brazilian games industry to San Francisco

São Paulo, February 28th, 2017  - The  Brazilian Game Developers Export Platform (BGD Export) – a partnership between with the Brazilian Association of Game Developers ( Abragames) and The Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency ( Apex-Brasil)  –, will be attending the events with a record delegation of 36 companies and more than 100 entrepreneurs during the two international business events at the end of February.

The Brazilian delegation will participate at Game Connection America 2017, the leading B2B networking trade event for games services and content that takes place from February 27 th to March 1 st, 2017 and GDC, Game Developers Conference, the largest game development conference, taking place from February 27 th to March 3 rd, 2017.

According to  Newzoo's latest survey, Brazil is the 13 th largest gaming market in the world, expecting to move 1.5 billion dollars and reach the record mark of 61 million active players still in 2017.

In the last two years, the Brazilian participation during the two events landed more than 20 million dollars in exports, content sales and partnerships provided by national companies to the global market. According to the Project's Executive Manager, Mrs. Eliana Russi, "The Brazilian gaming industry has grown at double-digit rates for several years in a row, showing its strength and creating opportunities for companies to get global."

According to Ms.  Mariana Gomes, the executive responsible for the segment at Apex-Brasil, the Brazilian game development industry continues to grow and create great business opportunities for the country. "This stimulates the creative economy, innovation and also creates jobs," says the executive.

“Brazilian companies are ready to show their work outside the country, thanks to the preparation work BGD is doing”, says Fernando Chamis, Webcore CEO and Abragames president. ““The gaming industry in Brazil has proven that we have great products ready to compete worldwide”, comments Sandro Manfredini, from Aquiris Game Studio, the developers of Horizon Chase.

During the events, participating companies will have the opportunity to showcase their projects, sell content and celebrate partnerships that have the potential to take the content made in Brazil to the world and still attend and participate in lectures and workshops with global market leaders.
