‘Pocket City’ arrives on iOS and Android - A premium city building game with NO microtransactions
Become mayor and grow your city from a small town to a bustling metropolis. No in-app purchases.
Pocket City is available on the App Store and Google Play. Build and manage your own metropolis in this new mobile city building game. No in-app purchases - all unlockables are earned through gameplay. Developed by Codebrew Games, an indie studio from Toronto, Canada.
The player builds their city by creating residential, commercial, and industrial zones, as well as special buildings. Completing quests provides the player with XP to level up. New buildings and upgrades are unlocked at higher levels.
The player must build zones strategically to meet demand. A handy chart shows the demand of each zone type. A good zone balance creates a good economy, increasing the player’s income.
Power and water resources must be supplied to zones and buildings. Different power plants have different effects - some are more green than others, some are more powerful.
The citizens must be kept happy to promote population growth. Taxes can be raised for a quick cash boost, at the expense of displeasing citizens. Balancing happiness and cash goals effectively can make or break a city.
Pocket City aims to capture the magic of city building on mobile without common traps like paid consumables and long build timers. Thousands of players are eagerly anticipating the game’s official public release. Pocket City has been a hit with gaming communities like Reddit’s /r/gaming and has reached the #1 post in the past. Followers and beta testers have given extremely positive feedback.
