Closed Beta Test for tactical multiplayer shooter A.V.A: Dog Tag starts in EU and NA
Seoul, 09/14/2018: Developer Red Duck opens its servers today for the Closed Beta Test of online, first-person shooter A.V.A Dog Tag. Players have been able to sign up to take part in the CBT for more than a month and additional keys have been given out via selected media partners to grant a lucky few a last-minute slot. An overview of the improvements and changes made since the initial Alpha Test can be found in the new roadmap which also includes Red Duck’s plans for features that will be added over the coming months.
Starting today, the servers of tactical online multiplayer shooter A.V.A Dog Tag are open for players from the EU and North America to experience Red Ducks’ new take on its popular FPS. For the first time in A.V.A history, Red Duck has taken full control of the game, enjoying a refreshing new freedom of choice in creative decisions and working with the community directly. Besides a dedicated roadmap, Red Duck has published a list of changes that have already been made based on feedback received during the Alpha phase.
Players can currently team up and fight in either Annihilation mode or Demolition mode against an opposing team and more game modes are in the works for release over the coming months. While Annihilation mode features a classic Team Deathmatch experience, Demolition mode pits two factions, one representing the EU and the other the NRF, against one another. In old-school FPS style, the NRF team must plant a strategic bomb and the EU team has to do their best to defuse it, or better yet, prevent it from being activated at all.
To go all out on a tactical perspective, players can choose from three different classes. The Point Man is the best choice for players storming the battlefront as this class specializes in close quarters combat. SMGs and shotguns are the Point Man’s weapons of choice. Keeping their distance, Snipers can hide in the cozy corners of the map, scouting and eliminating potential threats to their squad from afar. For beginners or those players who value variety in their playstyle, the Rifleman is the best choice. This class depends on each player’s choice of weapon, a factor that can mean life or death on the battlefield .
The A.V.A Dog Tag CBT will run until September 18. and Red Duck has set up a Discord channel for the community to connect and discuss their experiences: https://discord.gg/TYTHuQU
About A.V.A Dog Tag
Alliance of Valiant Arms: Dog Tag (A.V.A: Dog Tag) is a free-to-play, online, first-person shooter, developed by Red Duck Inc., built on Unreal Engine 3.
The game, now in its Beta phase, features exciting teamplay with two modes currently ready to dive into. Players either fight for overall domination in Annihilation mode by being the first of two teams to reach the preset score or having the highest score before time runs out. To put their tactical expertise to the test, players can jump into Demolition mode, the all-time favourite terrorist vs counter-terrorist scenario, featuring EU and NRF forces in Red Ducks own take on the genre.
After choosing one of three classes, players can customize their loadout with a wide variety of weapons.
Founded in 2006 in South Korea by game developer Seungtaek Oh, Red Duck Inc. released its first online multiplayer FPS game in 2007, Alliance of Valiant Arms (A.V.A).
