Peaceful exploration adventure Eastshade is out now on Steam
Developed by ex-Sukerpunch environment artist Danny Weinbaum and collaborators across the world for the past five years, Eastshade is now live on Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/715560/Eastshade/
In Eastshade’s peaceful adventure, you’ll follow your mother's last wishes: exploring the fantastic island of Eastshade in search of beautiful landscapes to paint, making friends and uncovering secrets along the way. Eastshade Studios aim to create a sense of place with their second release, with a world worth exploring, as Danny Weinbaum, director of Eastshade Studios, expands on:
“When the magic of a game world bleeds out into your wonder for the real world, you know you have an enriching fantasy. Eastshade is, above all, a travel simulator. Our goal was to make a place worth traveling to: A place you want to be. An an escapist experience that leaves the player enriched, inspired, and more excited about the real world.”
You are a traveling painter, exploring the island of Eastshade. Capture the world on canvas using your artist’s easel. Talk to the locals and learn about their lives. Make friends and help those in need. Discover mysteries and uncover secrets about the land. Surmount natural impasses to reach forgotten places.
About Eastshade Studios:
Eastshade Studios was founded in December 2013 when Danny quit his day job as a 3D environment artist in AAA games to build a weird world (Eastshade) - and released a short prelude, Leaving Lyndow, along the way. With collaborators sprinkled around the globe, they are committed to building worlds that feel like real places, explored through non-violent mechanics. Follow the studio on Twitter and visit the press kit for more information.
