WAVEN Tests the Waters in a Closed Alpha

After DOFUS and WAKFU, WAVEN is the third major chapter in the story Ankama has been telling for nearly 15 years. Since the afternoon of Wednesday, March 20, more than 1,000 carefully selected players have been battling 1 on 1 in the first alpha version of the game in French.

Roubaix, March 2 5 , 2019 : The World of Twelve, the planet where the heroes in Ankama's games live, has already faced many dangers. After its golden age and the hunt for dragon eggs (the DOFUS era), and then a hope-filled era following terrible chaos (WAKFU), the planet has been plunged, almost literally, in an era of survival faced with rising waters that are more threatening than ever. And so begins WAVEN.

For Anthony Roux, CEO of Ankama and better known as Tot: "It's time for the first assessment of WAVEN. We've worked hard, made progress, and we're now offering you what we think is a nice 1v1 combat mode. At the same time, we're still looking critically at our work because, ultimately, despite all our efforts, we don't know if it's good."

Thus, Ankama's newest born is undergoing a baptism of fire now and over the coming weeks. The team says they are happy and relieved at the smooth launch and first reactions in the forums and on social media. This first important step before the release of the game, slated for 2020, is accompanied by the launch of the website: www.waven-game.com

With this first closed alpha, the WAVEN team wants to hear players' spontaneous feedback to make any necessary corrections and thus fine-tune the gaming experience.
