NEW YORK – February 3rd 2010 – Continuing with a release of fresh new assets from the Paradox Interactive Convention, today Paradox Interactive, along with Snowball Studios have released a new developer interview and screenshots from the upcoming war title, Achtung Panzer: Kharkov 1943. The title, which takes place during the Kharkov Defense Operation of 1943, will enable players to play as either German or Russian forces in an ultra-realistic recreation of one of the fiercest battles to take place during World War II.

Sergei Klimov, Producer of the title at Snowball, explains how Achtung Panzer: Kharkov 1943 is “… a game for connoisseurs of the war-game genre…” with a focus on realism in battles, intensive tactical and strategic game-play, destructible environments and more.

“The team that developed the game,” Klimov notes, “…did tank-simulation software for the Ukrainian Army, so these are people who do things very accurately, completely, and specifically how it works in real life. So for those who understand the war-game genre… you can trust the developer that they’ve re-created the real thing.”

Achtung Panzer: Kharkov 1943 is scheduled for release on February 23rd. A demo is set to be made available before the game’s release.

The interview is available for viewing here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q1gLJqLkPOA
