For Immediate Release
FORT LEE, N.J. – Sept. 2, 2011 –
It’s back-to-school time again, and kids across the U.S. are
boarding school buses, breaking in new backpacks, and getting out
their pencils and books.
Fantage.com
(
Fantage), a leading virtual world for kids ages six to 16
is making it easier for fans of the game to connect with not only
friends, but teachers too, in the new school system. From now until
Monday, Sept. 5, players also can win free prizes by trying out the
newest school features, including pattern matching game
“Stained Glass” and trivia game “Off the
Hook.”
Other new features include:
·
Expanded Fantage School
SM: The new
Fantage school now includes rooms such as the music room,
where students can walk on instruments to play music; the
cafeteria, a place for students to socialize; and the gymnasium,
where students can play “Off the Hook.” Players now
have the option to print certificates after completing each game,
and until Sept. 5 also can win cool in-game prizes when they
play.
·
Private Classroom Hosting: With the new school
system, players can create or join a private classroom and invite
friends, parents and teachers for an interactive virtual learning
experience. Within this classroom, players can access all Fantage
School games as well as see high scores for their class.
·
New and Exciting Games: Player-favorite “Add
Like Mad” has been updated and transformed into “Mad
Math,” now including subtraction, multiplication and
division.
Fantage also has added two new games, “Off the
Hook,” a true-or-false trivia game testing student’s
knowledge on a variety of subjects, including Geography, Pop
Culture and Math; and “Stained Glass,” a logic puzzle
in which gamers must piece together tiles by matching color.
“Our aim is always to create a fun and safe environment
for our players to connect with friends and family,” said
David Hwang, CEO,
Fantage. “We were working on our school system when
a teacher – who also is the parent of an avid Fantage player
– requested a place in-game to connect with her students. We
expanded on her request to create the foremost tool in allowing
teachers and parents to better communicate with their students and
children, in the familiar and exciting
Fantage world.”
