Looking through Steam game data for little-known but highly-rated games, seeing what can be found and how common it really is to have a great game that doesn't sell.
Using Unity's SkinnedMeshRenderer to batch multiple separate moving GameObjects into a dingle draw call.
Scraps is a vehicle combat game where you build your vehicle from parts, so vehicles can have all sorts of different weapon loadouts. This post goes into detail about how aiming is handled in the unique situation the game presents.
Sometimes with games (or any software really) it'll seem like there's a logical feature that the developers should add which would clearly make the game better, yet they never do. In reality, sometimes things aren't that simple internally.
I recently successfully ran Kickstarter and Greenlight campaigns for my in-development game Scraps, as an unknown games creator without a prior following. This post attempts to give a bit of insight into what worked and what maybe wasn't worth the time.

Re batching, you can sort ...
Re batching, you can sort of batch separate, moving objects in a slightly hacky way by combining them into a single SkinnedMeshRenderer and using their Transforms as bones : http://gamasutra.com/blogs/BillBorman/20150910/253274/Unity 3D Batching independently moving GameObjects into a single mesh to reduce draw calls.php
