With 10+ years working as a game journalist, in which is included the founding and editoring-in-chief of the biggest video game magazine in Argentina (Loaded,), I have jumped to game design as a desire to accomplish what I have been criticizing all this time.

My first tenure was with a PC game, but soon I came entangled on the social realm working first as a game designer for Metrogames and then as a Lead Game Designer on Jam City (formerly SGN).

After more than six years designing I also feel the desire to help all the people that want to make a game and everything game-education related, so I'm serving as a mentor on meetings where we invite people from all the trades to make games (Game Work Jam), teaching a game design workshop on Buenos Aires University and Image Campus, and traveling the country giving speeches about why everyone can and should be doing games.

Currently I'm on the board of Fundación Argentina de Videojuegos (FundAV) as President and I'm Producer on Inca Games, the first incubator/publisher of its kind for latinamerica.

You can find my works on and follow me on @facundomounes, but be warned, I tweet mostly on spanish.

This was how I have felt designing "social" games months ago. I have found peace of mind after a while, but it still applies as a testimony of how it is from a designers perspective.
