Holly Flores's Blog

I am a professional tech journalist and blogger from Pittsburgh, PA, who has been covering digital technology news for over six years. My area of interest is software, gadgets, the Internet, network security, programming languages, and so on. I have a university degree in computer science, but I’m rather a “Professional amateur in the field of IT,” able to quickly understand any field and intelligibly convey information to the audience.
As a technical writer, I have versatile skills. In addition to writing articles, I also edit user manuals, application notes, and diagrams. Often I make a great creative contribution to the content, design and development of marketing campaigns. I like to start with ideas - perhaps a few points or a draft - and create colorful, engaging content. This is like solving a complex puzzle.

I love my job. The IT industry is developing rapidly, I work on a new one every day, and I will learn and write about the latest technological achievements around the world.
After many happy years of corporate work as a documentation specialist and technical trainer, I decided to choose a career as a freelance employee who is still involved in projects in the field of technical writing, multimedia, training and consulting in the IT industry.

Since most of my world is filled with high-tech documentation, electronic devices, and training programs, I also love to let off steam using my own hands. Craft, woodworking, wood burning and polymer clay modeling are an alternative to the computing world. Then, of course, I also document and write about these projects.
I can describe myself as a freelance enthusiast, a sophisticated connoisseur of midnight coffee and a collector of rare vinyl records. My motto is "The woman who follows the crowd will usually go no further than the crowd. The woman who walks alone is likely to find herself in places no one has been before."
