A year ago we released C.A.T.S. Today it has more than 100 mln installs and a Game of the Year award. We want to share how we came up with the idea of the game and how you can remove design risks on early stages of development to create a hit.

The last Friday of every quarter is a special day at ZeptoLab. Everyone puts aside their current tasks, cancels all meetings and gather in teams to make the most ambitious and crazy ideas come true. We call it Creative Jam Day.

Any time you start thinking about designing a sequel, the first question you ask yourself is: how is it going to differ from the previous part? It was quite a challenge to add a fresh note to the already many-sided Cut the Rope gameplay.
