Hey, my name is James Briggs and I’m a Games Designer and Programmer working in Unity for the last 4 years. I consider myself a Generalist, as I’ve worked with nearly everything in unity from normal C# programming and general development, to audio, AI and graphics programming with Cg/HLSL.

Last year I graduated from University of the Arts London’s BA (Hons) Games Design course with First Honours and I’m currently working as a Unity Designer at Oakley VR.

The most interesting thing to me in games is interesting and unique Mechanics. I think the best games are those that have utterly unique mechanics and they use these in combination with every other element in a game to create a wonderful experience.

This blog will just be me thinking about game design, emotion design, and specific design analysis of different games.Hope you enjoy!
