Jason Yu enjoys thinking and writing about video game music from a classical analysis point of view. He has a B.A. in Music from UC Berkeley and produces music under the name Doopliss. He is also an accomplished classical pianist with over 20 years of experience under his belt.

He also plays Super Smash Brothers Melee at a competitive level under the handle Zeldafreak, and was once ranked in Northern California, but is mostly washed up now. He also enjoys writing about Melee-related topics, and jointly runs a blog about Melee called The Phantom Hit.
