I'm the co-founder and lead developer for indie developer Itzy Interactive Inc.

I grew up in rural Alberta and have been an avid gamer since my first days of playing Gorf on my Commodore Vic-20.  After spending countless hours entering and modifying game code from Compute’s Gazette magazines on my C-64 as a boy, I never lost my love for gaming even as I eventually chose a career in finance.  A decade in the brokerage industry, a layoff, an uncertain economy and the birth of my first child caused me to re-evaluate my career goals.  I retrained, graduating with honours from NAIT’s Digital Media and IT program with an emphasis on Game Programming and Design and now I'm pursuing a career dream I've had since childhood to make some videogames.

This is why I wanted ...

This is why I wanted to vent a bit about this topic. I understand that artists are abused and low-balled when they 're bidding on contracts. I get that. What I don 't understand is going out of your way to heap abuse on someone for daring to offer less ...

As it turns out, some helpful devs and posters on AltDevBlogADay cleared up the mystery here. The problem isn 't that review sites are overwhelmed with review requests, the problem with those of us struggling to get reviews is our games are, to paraphrase, simply crap. As everyone knows, review ...

Are you sure you played the correct game Our game starts with the tutorial and no other levels are unlocked until at least you 've made an attempt at the tutorial. A recent review actually praised us on how useful they found our tutorial. As well, there is also a ...

That's something I never considered. ...

That's something I never considered. I've always been aware of Kickstarter.com, but lack of cash wasn't our primary hurdle at the start as what we needed was time and talent. Now raising awareness of our product seems to be our hurdle, and those are efforts that could certainly benefit by ...
