There are a lot of things wrong with electronic media and it 's distribution in Australia, the protectionist policies of the distributors, the over pricing, the ridiculous censorship laws, they are all problems. Valves refund policy wasn 't really an issues for gamer 's here ...

Great article and thank you for being so honest. Unfortunately this pretty much matches my experience of indie development. I think the disparate between game difficulty and cute graphics probably was a problem though. I seem to remember Tim Schafer expressing a similar regret at the art style of Psychonauts ...

Monodev is OK in unity but recent versions of the integration are a tad annoying or maybe it 's just recent versions of monodev . Anyway I prefer VS for editing code, the only reason I don 't use it is because I could never get debugging working with it. ...
