Francisco Cortina has been an professional 3D artist in the computer graphics industry since the 90's, working in various facets of production covering the film, video game and medical industries. He currently works as an independent contractor, providing consulting and high-end character outsourcing services to companies.
Francisco's digital career began at Johns Hopkins University's Madlab as a medical animator in 1995. In 1996, he joined the Japanese video game giant Square USA, where he worked on several game titles including "Parasite Eve" and "Final Fantasy IX", the animated feature film "Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within" and the animated short "Animatrix: Final Flight of the Osiris".
After his tenure at Square, Francisco joined Dreamworks Feature Animation as a Techical Director, working in their Modeling, Character Rigging and Lighting departments. Shortly after, he joined Digital Domain as the Character Development Lead for Uma Thurman's "My Super-Ex", 3D Character lead for Charlize Theron's "Aeon Flux", and Modeling supervisor for Jet Li's "Mummy 3: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor".
Some of his recent clients include Blur Studio, Sony, THQ, Infinity Ward and Quantic Dream.
