General Game Design
Kirk Sumner has been programming video games and simulations for over 20 years at companies such as MECC, MacSoft, and Destineer. Kirk's experience includes project lead and management experience on Windows, Mac, XBox, Wii, iPhone and Blackberry systems.
Kirk's completed projects include originals titles such as "Oregon Trail II" and "Prime Target", ported titles such as "Age of Empires" (Mac) and "Master of Orion II" (Mac), and Kirk lead the team of engineers that built the "Close Combat: First to Fight" multiplayer FPS engine from scratch.
As well as many years of programming experience, Kirk has been an integral member in the overall design of many titles and has numerous original game ideas.
Kirk is seeking a remote contract position or full game development contract, but will also consider full-time employment opportunities.
