Gamasutra has debuted a redesigned job section on its industry-leading game art/business site, including enhanced functionality and ease of use for job posters - also adding integrated login to Gamasutra.com and user comments on news stories and features.

This marks the first part of a multi-stage enhancement of the double Webby-award winning site to roll out over the next few months, to eventually include a site visual redesign and the addition of social networking elements from the recently debuted MyGDC social network. The following elements are live now:

- Comments on news, features: All users who are logged in with a Gamasutra.com user account can now add their comments to news or features. The comments will show the user's first and last names - with an option for logged-in users to post anonymously if necessary. Comments are already being used extensively for recent features.

- Redesigned job section: Already the leading job section for the game industry, this visual and usability-redesigned Gamasutra Jobs section includes easier navigability for all, but special concentration on the job posting section - making it even easier to post, repost, and enhance job listings and edit company profiles.

- Free cross-posting: For job posters, the ability to cross-post relevant positions for free to Gamasutra's sister websites Games On Deck (for mobile game developers) and Serious Games Source (for 'serious' game developers) has been added.

- Integrated log-in: Previously, users needed to set up a separate account to access the Gamasutra jobs section, but now Gamasutra's main logon will allow job seekers to also access other Gamasutra features, including newsletter subscription and comment posting, via the new My Profile page. (Job posters still keep their unique logon, however.)

Anyone having issues with any of these new Gamasutra features should contact either [email protected] (for general user issues) or [email protected] (for job posting-specific issues).
