Microsoft has announced that its regular Wednesday Xbox Live Arcade update will see the release of Metanet's N+
, the conversion of its Independent Games Festival Audience Award-winning
freeware platformer, including both single and multiplayer modes and a fully featured level editor.
The conversion was first announced
in January of 2007, with Vancouver's Klei Entertainment, developer of Live Arcade puzzler Eets
tapped to bring the game to the Xbox 360.
Microsoft says the Live Arcade version will feature both the standard single player mode as well as Cooperative, Survival or Race multiplayer modes playable either locally or over Xbox Live. The game also promises over 300 levels and a built-in level editor.
Publisher Atari has also announced
handheld conversions of the title for both the DS and PSP, in production by external Toronto-based developers Silverbirch Studios.
The game will be released Wednesday, February 20th at a price of 800 Microsoft Points ($10).
