Game engine company Trinigy has announced the release of the latest version of its Vision Engine, bringing what the company calls a "new generation of technology" redesigned from scratch for optimal performance on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Trinigy says its geometry pipeline has been completely revised for version 7, with faster and more memory-efficient results. The company also says its WYSIWYG scene editor vForge has gained a prefab system, improved instancing, better script debugging functionality and a new terrain editor.

Finally, Trinigy says version 7 adds support for the Bullet physics engine, an optional gratuitous audio solution and further middleware bindings, and in general has increased performance across all platforms.

Said managing partner Dag Frommhold, "Vision 7.0 marks an important milestone in the Vision Engine's history. Vision Engine 7 is truly setting new standards in terms of cross-platform performance and flexible, efficient game development"
