Publisher Atari has announced RACE Pro, an Xbox 360 exclusive racing simulation game. Due fall 2008, the game promises realistic car models and official FIA championships and tracks.
RACE Pro will be developed by PC racing simulator studio SimBin (GTR - FIA GT Racing Game, RACE 07 - Official WTCC Game) and will be powered by the company’s own Lizard physics engine.
The racing simulation game will offer cars ranging from 200 to over 1000 horse power, such as GT cars from Aston Martin and Saleen and production cars like the the Audi R8 and Dodge Viper SRT10. Furthermore, RACE Pro will exclusively bring all WTCC cars from manufacturers Alfa Romeo, BMW, Chevrolet, and Seat. An accessible Mini Cooper Challenge will also be available for gamers of all abilities to enjoy the game.
Players will be able to rave over 13 real tracks covering all continents, with Macau, Porto, and Pau tracks being exclusive to RACE Pro. Online play via Xbox Live and System Link support allows up to 12 players to challenge each other. A Hot Seat feature also allows players to drive for a limited amount of time before passing the controller to the next player.
