Developer Splash Damage (Enemy Territory franchise) appointed Richard Ham, previously lead designer on Fable II for Lionhead, as its new creative director.

In his new role, Ham will lead the design team on a new multiplatform title being developed in partnership with Fallout 3 studio Bethesda Softworks.

Previous to Splash Damage and Lionhead, Ham was creative director at Edge of Reality, where he helped adapt Electronic Arts' The Sims to consoles and contributed to several other titles. Prior to that, he held positions at Nintendo of America and Sony Computer Entertainment of America, where he was the creative lead of Syphon Filter.

Splash Damage also recently added to its development staff with several notable veterans from Ninja Theory (Heavenly Sword), Massive Entertainment (World in Conflict, BioWare (Mass Effect), and other studios.

Based in London and founded in 2001, Splash Damage has contributed to first-person shooters like Doom 3 and Return to Castle Wolfenstein, also releasing games of its own under its Enemy Territory line, such as Enemy Territory: Quake Wars and Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory.

"We have spent months searching for the right person to lead Splash Damage's new title creatively, and Richard is an exact fit," says Splash Damage owner and studio director Paul Wedgwood.

"His stunning track record makes him ideal to drive our vision for such a truly ambitious new multiplatform project. I am constantly flabbergasted by his incredible design wit and intellect."
