Jurors for the video game art exhibition Into The Pixel have selected 16 works of art from a field of 200 submissions to show at E3, including pieces from Guild Wars 2, Flower, Halo Wars and Legends of Norrath - Against the Void (pictured).

A group of nine jurors -- museum curators, video game art professionals and academics--selected the final sixteen pieces for Into The Pixel's sixth year. The exhibition is a joint effort between Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences, the Entertainment Software Association and the Prints & Drawings Council of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. The pieces will be on display at this week's E3 conference in Los Angeles on June 2.

"Into The Pixel is strong evidence that videogames are an integral part of today's contemporary art scene," said Joseph Olin, president of The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences. "The talented artists, whose works make up the collection, demonstrate why interactive entertainment's influences are so prevalent."

This year's artwork can be found at Into The Pixel's official website as part of the 2009 winners page.
