Nintendo's evergreen Pokmon Emerald is as much a hit down under as it is in the rest of the world, it seems, as it once again leads Australia's all-format game sales charts for the week, according to chart provider GFK.

In addition, the chart marks possibly the last upward movement for Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas as its Xbox version moves into the #2 spot, since as of last week, the game has been banned in Australia, at least until Rockstar can release a version that isn't modifiable to include the 'Hot Coffee' extensions.

Also notable is Sony's Singstar karaoke title for PlayStation 2, which is extremely popular in Europe, and, apparently, in Australia, where it sneaks up to #3 on the chart, but has yet to be released in North America. Finally, the PlayStation 2 version of EA's Cricket 2005 is also on the rise, mirroring the movement of Codemasters' cricket game in the UK sales charts for similar reasons; the two countries are currently facing each other in real life.
