UK trade association ELSPA has published its monthly chart of the most downloaded mobile phone games for June 2006 in the United Kingdom. The chart compiles information supplied by 3, O2, Orange, T-Mobile, and Vodafone, and gives a continuing look at what UK game consumers are actually purchasing for their mobile phones.

The chart was topped once again by Jamdat and EA Mobile's puzzler Tetris, followed by comical strategy game Worms from THQ Wireless and developer Team 17. Sega's Sonic the Hedgehog: Part One was the third most purchased mobile title on the chart, while EA's FIFA World Cup Germany 2006 and The Sims 2 ranked fourth and fifth respectively.

The top ten, for which similar cross-carrier mobile game charts are not yet officially available to the public in North America, was rounded out by Glu Mobile's Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? 2nd Edition, Eidos' Championship Manager 2006, I-Play's The Fast And The Furious: Tokyo, Gameloft's Block Breaker Deluxe, and Glu Mobile's Monopoly.

In addition, the ELSPA also released the list of the top ten JAVA mobile downloads for May 2006, during which Tetris, Worms, and Sonic the Hedgehog: Part One also ranked as the top three downloaded titles. The top five downloads on the chart were rounded out by Eidos' Championship Manager 2006 and EA Mobile's The Sims 2.

Player One's Ronnie O'Sullivan's Snooker was the sixth most downloaded game on the chart, followed by Glu Mobile's Monopoly. A pair from Gameloft, movie tie-in Mission: Impossible 3 and Block Breaker Deluxe, ranked eighth and ninth for the month, while EA Sports' FIFA World Cup Germany 2006 rounded out the list in tenth.
