Take-Two publishing label Rockstar Games has announced mature-themed action sequel Manhunt 2, in development for the PSP, PlayStation 2, and Nintendo's Wii from the newly formed Rockstar London studio and Rockstar Toronto.

According to a brief official press release from the secretive Take-Two publishing arm, Rockstar London is developing the game in conjunction with series creator Rockstar North. The Wii version of the game is being developed by Rockstar Toronto, and Manhunt 2 will be available this summer. [Pictured: the original version of Manhunt.]

Rockstar London's development capabilities was originally confirmed in late 2005, as the company expanded its European publishing headquarters with a development studio as part of its Kings Road office. This is the studio's first announced title.

Sam Houser, founder and executive producer of Rockstar Games commented of the announcement: "With Manhunt 2 we have tried to create a game that stays close to the original concept of chilling suspense and stealth, whilst pushing the game design and storytelling forward."
