Gamasutra's regular round-up of worldwide video game releases, "Release This!", takes a look at every game title we know to be shipping to stores this week, in an exclusively compiled list.

Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, which debuted at the weekend in many outlets, makes its way to multiple consoles in North America this week, while a Trauma Center sequel highlights the week's portable offerings.

Gamers in Europe can expect to see Space Invaders Extreme and a PSP UMD release of echochrome, meanwhile, as Japan prepares for Initial D: Extreme Stage and Nanashi no Game.

The following list covers all of the game software we know to be available -- across all platforms and regions -- for the week ending July 5th, 2008.

Games Released in the United States:

Nintendo Wii:
- Guitar Hero: Aerosmith
- Purr Pals

Xbox 360:

- Trauma Center: Under the Knife 2

The multiplatform Guitar Hero: Aerosmith and a rereleased version of Gears of War highlight a quiet console release lineup for North America this week. Portable offerings are similarly slim, with Atlus' Trauma Center: Under the Knife 2 emerging as the week's only debuting DS title to not be based upon a licensed property.

Next week is expected to bring U.S. releases for Civilization Revolution and Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo's Dungeon, while the Xbox 360 receives an awaited port of the previously PS3-exclusive Unreal Tournament 3.

Disney's video game adaptation of WALL-E finds its way to Europe this week, debuting alongside localized versions of recent notable North American releases like Space Invaders Extreme, Arkanoid DS, and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time and Explorers of Darkness. UK gamers also boast an exclusive English-language UMD release of echochrome this week (the title never saw a disc-based release in North America), along with the first PlayStation 3 installment of the popular quiz series Buzz!

Games Released in Japan:

PlayStation Portable:

Japan's release lineup for the week is highlighted by Sega's Initial D: Extreme Stage, a home port of the popular arcade racer Initial D: Arcade Stage 4. The PlayStation 2, meanwhile, receives a pair of adventure titles in L no Kisetsu 2: Invisible Memories and The Office Love Jikenbou, along with a localization of the PSP-to-PS2 port Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters.

Portables also have little to offer this week, with the Nintendo DS set to receive a handful of debuts that include Square Enix's horror adventure title Nanashi no Game, while PSP owners see a single release in the educational title Minna de Dokusho: Meisaku & Suiri & Kaidan & Bungaku.
